testing the devils

The man wakes from his nightmare,
only to find the Devil himself squatting above him,
with one of His wicked, smoldering hands around
the man’s
neck.
“What are you doing?” the man asks
and the Devil just smiles,
pulling out from behind him a rusty, crooked knife.
The man screams,
“What are you doing? We had a deal!”
The Devil’s eyes go somber and he says,
“You knew very well I was the Devil”
and with a wild swing
of the Devil’s arm
the man’s neck
is slashed
open.

The boy, a pretty girl and the Devil

“Now, laugh and tell him to go away,”
whispered the Devil in the pretty girl’s ear.
And she did.
“She has changed so much,”
thought the boy as he walked back to his desk.

behind the moon

A young woman was stabbed dead,
sitting on a small star behind the moon
No one ever spoke of it, because no one ever knew
But she was murdered
That poor young woman behind the Moon
